All activities are “choose your own adventure”-style, with fun options to pick from (e.g. a local hike, guided meditation, or nap and read!)

All athletic activities are optional and most can be modified – you are 100% welcome to attend, even if you’re definitely not a “yogi” or “hiker”! Everyone is welcome.

  • At the Maine Women’s retreat there are two rustic and cozy lodging options to choose from: a private rustic cabin bedroom or a shared “glamping-style” tent.

Tents are nestled in the pine trees with cozy bookshelves & sleeping cots. Each tent has a simple setup and sleeps approximately 4 participants. Tents have access to nearby bathhouses with warm showers & cubbies for your belongings. This is our most “classic” option!

Cabins are on-site cabins with small kitchens, a sitting area, and a shared bathroom for 2 people. Each cabin has 2 private bedrooms. This is a great option if you desire a little more privacy!

Both options are rustic and cozy :)

  • All Purpose & Pine activities are optional! It’s totally OK if you are not a yogi or an outdoor enthusiast. There will be a variety of options to choose from each day.

We strive to make each Purpose & Pine retreat as accommodating and welcoming as possible. If you want to unwind in your cabin or read your fantasy book instead of going on a hike, you have our full blessing! This retreat is for you :)

  • So sorry, but we are unable to provide refunds, as outlined in our Participant Waiver, for any circumstance or reason. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect you - in many cases, you could get a full refund if you have to cancel for any reason.

  • We strive to provide a variety of great food at every Purpose & Pine Retreat and to use local women-owned catering options whenever possible.

A typical breakfast may look like yogurt, quiche, and a variety of fruit.

A typical lunch may look like sandwiches, salads, and a mix of sides.

A typical dinner may look like pasta, salad, and desserts with a variety of options including vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free, as desired.

Please let us know of any dietary needs in your Participant Form – we will do our very best to accommodate all situations!

Note that if you are someone who needs to bring their own food, we will work with you to find an accessible place to store your food or snacks during the event.

  • Workshops are group conversations designed to inspire, connect, and to get the group sharing about what’s on their hearts and minds together!

At each workshop we will typically introduce a topic and participants will split into small groups / pairs to discuss how this relates to themes in their own lives.

Past sessions have included positive psychology discussions led by a certified positive psychology practitioner, inner resilience workshops facilitated by a clinical social worker (LCSW), and guided discussions on highs / lows and finding your balance and purpose led by Annie and Kristen.

During the final workshop, attendees will have a chance to share personal statement with the group, if they’d like – an incredibly special experience!

Workshops are highly inclusive and you will not be under pressure during workshop discussions (i.e. we are not producers on The Bachelor, who will make you spill your entire life story if you don't want to!). Our primary focus of each retreat is the fun, comfort, and relaxation of each retreat participant!
